The Notes app on iOS is not just a tool for entering texts and taking quick notes. In fact, you can add photographs, videos, scanned docs, and sketches to the Notes app on an iPad tablet and make the most of it. Below is how to add select multimedia files to the Notes app on iOS 11.
Open the Notes app on your iPad tablet and create a new note on it. To add a photo or video in the note, tap on the ‘+’ button located at the bottom of the app screen, tap on the Photo Library, and select the photo or video which you want to insert to the note. Once you are done adding the multimedia file from the Photo Library, tap on Done in the top-right corner of the device.
You can also capture a photo or video and then add the respective file to the Notes app straightaway instead of routing from the Photo Library. For that, open the note, tap on the ‘+’ button, and select Take Photo or Video option in the app. Tap on Photo or Video as you want, and then tap on the capture button. When done, tap on Use Photo option given you are content with the captured photograph. Else, you can tap on Retake and try capturing a better one through the camera.
Once you tap on Use Photo, the photograph will be added to where the cursor resides on the given note. After you are done with adding the multimedia files to the Notes app, you can continue with inserting more details to the note as required.
The Notes app also lets you scan and store files using the Camera app of the iPad tablet. For that, open Notes on your device and tap on the ‘+’ and then tap on Scan Documents. To choose between auto and manual document scan, tap on Auto or Manual option in the top-right part of the app screen. Then, tap on the filter button denoted by three overlapping circles, and choose any of the filters namely Color, Black & White, Grayscale, and Photo. Then simply scan the respective document by hovering the iPad’s camera over the document. In case you choose the Auto mode, the document would be scanned automatically when the device reaches proximity with the document – tap on Save once scanned.
